The Lowland and Theory

In this assignment, I chose to apply an ecocritical analysis to Jhumpa Lahiri’s 2013 novel, The Lowland.

I’ve been exploring different art mediums and fell in love with mixed media canvases. I got to play with my #cricut and use the papers I reserved for special occasions. This piece and others will be available soon in my shop!
If you’re ever in the area, @phosurevalencia is a must! Our #vegan favorite is the P28 (vegetarian broth with tofu pho) and the tofu bonmi. I don’t know if it’s the “correct” thing to do, but I LOVE dipping the sandwich in the soup.
Sometimes #selfcare means a fluffy pink blanket and coloring. It’s been a really good day and I hope to post about it soon. For now, I’m riding the high and blissing out 🥰
Finally made some stickers for my laptop this past weekend with my cricut. Capre Diem is absolutely not for sale unless it’s to help one of my favorite TikTok creators, @aidios_mariela. Thank you for being awesome and inspiring me💕 LMK if you’d like help with merch. Low key, I also want to say that I was in a bit of a hurry to get this phrase on my laptop and decided to forego other designs for simplicity and time efficiency. Thank you, you aggressive, majestic unicorn you! 😘
Fun fact about tarot reading: it’s not “fortune telling.” At least, not the way I read. They tell me where my querent has been, where they are, and (if they continue on their trajectory) where they will be. When I listen close, my guides tell me what I can and can’t say and to whom (sometimes they’re very specific). When I shuffle, the cards jump out, especially when I look at my querent’s face. It’s one of those things that still give me chills when I do readings. This isn’t something I wish to do full time even though I love doing them. I usually read for my family and friends who seek me out. In exchange they either gift me $24 (or multiples there of) or a token of their appreciation. It is the way we honor Spirit and our guides.
Happy holidays! I’m pleased to announce the opening of my @jumblesnjots store with these handmade and personalized stocking labels. DM me to buy!
